If you are on a mobile device, you can swipe to the left to change the view. For those on a tablet, like an Ipad, the “Switch to Gallery View” button can be found on the top of your screen. If you or anyone you know has any technical difficulties during the event please contact our technical support team by calling or texting: 240-608-6037. At this time, we open the space for guests here today to share a memory. This can be a story or memory that makes you smile or is special to you.If we were all together today this would be like raising your hand and passing the microphone around the room. So if you would like to publicly share please raise your hand. There are two ways to raise your hand. First is to use the raise your hand feature in Zoom. To do this click on participants and then the raise hand icon is in the bottom left of the participants panel. Or, we invite you to can do this the old fashion way and wave your hand in the video, our staff will call on you by name and ask you to unmute your microphone. You can also share here, in the chat. The chat will be shared with the family as a virtual guestbook.

Love from Scott, Lindy, Hunter, and Evan Fulford. Lindy and I remember visiting and having lobster in Maine.

When we first moved to Brunswick, my husband, Jake, reached out to DeWitt whom he’d been told could advise him about publishing a book and university teaching. DeWitt then invited my husband to meet for lunch, giving generously of his time and even picking up the tab. We are forever impressed by this act of kindness at a time we were new to town. Ricardo’s story of going into Nature and finding Dewitt is very powerful and seems available tous . I'm remembering Dewitt's laughter and inquisitive mind and courageous heart, and gives me and our family a feeling of joy and appreciation. He was a light. And, as we’ve seen today in this beautiful service, he is a light still here! My entire life changed when I met Dewitt as a student at Bowdoin College. He was more than a leading professor and mentor in Enviornmental regulation, he was a good friend to me and others when I was new and didn't have any friends. He was so thoughtful, kind-hearted, and filled with a charge of leadership and vision. In addition to big academic epiphanies, Dewitt and I have so many stories of hikes, walks, talks, snow-shoes, ski trips, urban, rural, waste-water-treatment plant, hazardous brown-zone and other misadventures with Dewitt. He was a joy. A spark. And I know that it remains here on earth in the thousands of people he met briefly or shared 45 years with in marria
